Weekly Update Oct 2-6
Terry Fox Run We had a great Terry Fox Run on Thursday. We hope your child shared their experience of dedication and perserverence. A lap around the pond is 1.2 KM and we had lots of students complete two laps and several who completed more than that. More importantly – we came together to remember and honor a true Canadian hero. The final tally is still coming in but we know we raised over $750 in the fight against cancer. Thank you for supporting your children and this important day. Thank you also to the many parents who helped make sure we all stayed on the course, and kept moving, through out our run. Orange Shirt Day Orange T-shirt Day (Sept 30) is a day that has grown out of Residential School survivor, Phyllis Webstad’s account of having her shiny new orange shirt taken away on her first day of school at the St. Joseph Mission (SJM) Residential school in Williams Lake, BC. This day has become an opportunity to keep the discussion of all aspects of residential schools happening annually and an opportunity for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come. In honour of this day, we are encouraging all students and staff to wear an orange t-shirt to school on Monday, Oct 2. School Logo We’ve had a few great submissions to our school logo contest. Keep the entries coming until October 13. Coming up this week October 2 Orange Shirt Day October 3 Gr 2-4 Choir October 5 Gr 2-4 Choir October 9 Thanksgiving Day – NO SCHOOL

I was just wondering if the school blogs are down? I haven't been able to access my sons for the last 5 days
